Interview with a Red Sox fan and a Yankee Fan

<b>Imagine if you will</b>, a reputable sports reporter interviewing a Yankee fan and a Red Sox fan. This is how I think it would go.

<u><b>Yankees Fan</b></u>

<b>Interviewer</b>: There was a lot of doubt this off-season about the Yankees success with so many changes, yet they are off to a great start. What do you think are the major reason?
<b>Yankees Fan</b>: Like many other successful clubs, the Yankees have been able to get strong run support when needed, timely hitting from several sources and above all - the thing that wins games - their pitching staff has done a tremendous job.

<b>Interviewer</b>: So the change in key personnel, Tino, Paul, Chuck, Scott, hasn’t really had an impact.
<b>Yankees Fan</b>: I think to the fans it has, we all loved those guys, but the Yankees, as an organization, are able to put together a strong squad every year.

<b>Interviewer</b>: One of your division rivals, the Red Sox, are playing great ball, does that worry you.
<b>Yankees Fan</b>: Sure it does. They are a strong club with great athletes, new ownership and a new attitude. The Red Sox have always played us well and with 17 meetings this year, we really need to make sure we try to win some of them.

<b>Interviewer</b>: What is it like to be a Yankee fan, to root for one of the most successful clubs in the world?
<b>Yankees Fan</b>: Oh, it’s a lot of fun. We have had some bad years, like in the late 80’s and early 90’s, so it’s fun to enjoy the success.

<b>Interviewer</b>: How long do you think the success can last?
<b>Yankees Fan</b>: Yankees ownership has done a great job to build a strong farm system and make sure the franchise lives up to its reputation. Luckily, we are able to pay the salaries needed for good players to remain competitive.

<b>Interviewer</b>: Thank you for your time and for buying lunch during this interview. Good luck with the season.

<b>Interviewer</b>: The Red Sox are off to a great start this season. What do you think are the major factors contributing to the team’s success?

<b>Interviewer</b>: I see. Lowe has been a big surprise, what else has surprised you so far this year?
<b>Red Sox Fan</b>: YANKEES SUCK!!!

<b>Interviewer</b>: Very good. Super! What player do you think is making the biggest impact on this squad?
<b>Red Sox Fan</b>: NOMAAHHH!! JETER SUCKS!!!

<b>Interviewer</b>: It’s still fairly early in the season, what do the Red Sox have to do to make it to the post season?
<b>Red Sox Fan</b>: YANKEES SUCK!!!

<b>Interviewer</b>: Yeah, you said that. There were a lot of changes during the off-season. New ownership, new coaching staff, they got rid of Everett and added some key players, what has made the biggest difference.
<b>Red Sox Fan</b>: I like ice cream.

<b>Interviewer</b>: What?
<b>Red Sox Fan</b>: Never mind.

<b>Interviewer</b>: You. Are. An. Idiot.
<b>Red Sox Fan</b>: YANKEES SUCK!!

<b>Interviewer</b>: Could you please stop saying that?
<b>Red Sox Fan</b>: Huh? Say what?

<b>Interviewer</b>: Ok, let’s get back to the Red Sox. Fenway is a piece of history but it has some problems. Would you like to see a new park built?
<b>Red Sox Fan</b>: OVAH MY DEAD BOODY I WOULD!! NEVAAAAHHHH!

<b>Interviewer</b>: Well put! What do you say to the critics that say the Sox are doing well because they have had a weak schedule?
<b>Red Sox Fan</b>: THEY CAN KISS MY ASS!!

<b>Interviewer</b>: You really are an idiot.
<b>Red Sox Fan</b>: YANKEES SUCK!!

<b>Interviewer</b>: Do I smell alcohol on your breath?
<b>Red Sox Fan</b>: Uh huh, there’s a game tonight.

<b>Interviewer</b>: It’s only 9 in the morning.
<b>Red Sox Fan</b>: Yeah?

<b>Interviewer</b>: Social and cultural aspects affect the success or detriment of any organization, especially a ball club. Any thoughts on that?
<b>Red Sox Fan</b>: I…er….uh…I saw Star Wars. It was good. Also, I like cartoons.

<b>Interviewer</b>: That’s what I thought.
<b>Red Sox Fan</b>: YANKEES SUCK!!!

<b>Interviewer</b>: I am going to walk away real slowly. Don’t hurt me.
<b>Red Sox Fan</b>: Yellow is pretty.

<b>Interviewer</b>: Good God.
<b>Red Sox Fan</b>: YANKEES SUCK!!!

<b>Interviewer</b>: Did you get out of elementary school?
<b>Red Sox Fan</b>: Homer Simpson is funny.

<b>Interviewer</b>: I hate you.
<b>Red Sox Fan</b>: Can I have a dollar?
